Kunstnerboken: BEKKENS BESTANDDELER, UTSIRA av kunstnerduo Skrinde & Rønnevik
– Et sosialt/relasjonelt tverrfaglig prosjekt som adresserer syv av FNs bærekraftmål og delmål.
Vi har de siste årene arbeidet med utgangspunkt i et gjengrodd bekkeløp ved Nordvikgården på øya Utsira i Rogaland. Tanken med prosjektet har vært å skape et lavterskel møte- og erfaringssted mellom ulike mennesker, nettverk, natur og kulturlandskap, hvor grunnprinsippet har vært vennskap og vennlighet.
Bekkens Bestanddeler var et samarbeid mellom Kristen Rønnevik og Kamilla Skrinde, med en felles interesse for langtidsstudier av sted som kunstnerisk prosess. Dette var et stedsbestemt og relasjonelt kunstprosjekt på Utsira, Rogaland. Området de arbeidet med var et offentlig sted og en passasje eid av Utsira kommune. Sentralt i kunstprosjektet var sosial refleksjon og aksjonisme rundt vern og omsorg av landområder både som idé og handling.
Det planlegges store inngrep i naturen på og rundt øya Utsira - storstilt havvindutbygging, Utsira-nord o.s.v. De ønsket å skape et flerårig kunstprosjekt som var en sosial refleksjon og mot-kommentar, i menneskelig skala og der fellesskap stod sentralt.

The artist duo Kamilla Skrinde and Kristen Rønnevik have now completed the artist's book The Components of the Stream, Utsira (2022–2025) published by Spuren Forlag. We are absolutely delighted with the book and with the exemplary graphic design and layout by Katja Mühlberger!
We are now ready to tour with the book; our first stops will be Oplandia Centre for Contemporary Art and Bastardbok! We are incredibly excited!

ABOUT
The artist’s book: The Components of the Stream, Utsira (2022-2025) by the artist duo Skrinde & Rønnevik
– A social/relational interdisciplinary project addressing seven of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and targets.
In recent years, we have worked with an overgrown stream bed at the Nordvik farm on the island of Utsira in Rogaland as our starting point. The aim of the project was to create an accessible meeting place and a space for shared experiences—bringing together diverse people, networks, nature, and the cultural landscape—grounded in the principles of friendship and kindness.
The Components of the Stream, Utsira was a collaboration between the visual artists Kristen Rønnevik and Kamilla Skrinde, united by a shared interest in long-term studies of place as an artistic process. It was a site-specific and relational art project on Utsira, Rogaland. The area they worked with was a public space and thoroughfare owned by Utsira Municipality. Central to the project were social reflection and activism regarding the preservation and stewardship of land —both as an idea and as an action.
Major interventions in the natural environment on and around Utsira are currently being planned—including large-scale offshore wind developments (such as Utsira Nord). They wanted to create a multi-year art project that served as a form of social reflection and a counter-narrative—one operating on a human scale and centered on community.
