I performancen, Ro - å sveva over fjorden, undersøker Rønnevik båtkonstruksjoner som benyttes i de ulike havnene. Han utforsker små trebåter som er stedstypiske for hver havn - inn i materialene slik de lokale båtbyggerne gjorde før ham: de leser vær, vind, tradisjoner og steder, og gjør sin egne fortolkninger.

LANGS KYSTEN (2026-2028)

Hvilken rolle skal havnen spille i samtiden og fremtiden? Hvordan er mulighetene til at havnen kan være et møtested i kroppslig skala? Hvordan skal vi ta vare på og ha omsorg for disse stedene? Hvordan skal vi leve med at ting endrer seg? Dette er noen av spørsmålene Signe Marie Andersen, Christine Hansen, Kristen Rønnevik og Kamilla Skrinde stiller i Langs kysten. De fire kunstnerne tematiserer reiser, historie og stedsidentitet i et utvalg havner i Rogaland: Stavanger, Kvitsøy, Haugesund og Kopervik. Gjennom ulike medier som silketrykk, cyanotypi, fotografi, lerret og performance ønsker kunstnerne å invitere til refleksjon i ulike etapper.

In the performance, Row – to glide over the fjord, Rønnevik examines boat designs used in various villages and harbors. He explores small wooden boats characteristic of each specific harbor — delving into the materials just as local boatbuilders did before him: reading weather, wind, traditions, and locations, and creating his own interpretations.
ALONG THE COAST (2026–2028)
A group exhibition by and featuring: Kristen Rønnevik, Christine Hansen, Kamilla Skrinde and Signe Marie Andersen
What role should the harbor play in the present and the future? What are the possibilities for the harbor to serve as a meeting place experienced on a bodily scale? How should we preserve and care for these places? How do we live with the fact that things change?
These are some of the questions Signe Marie Andersen, Christine Hansen, Kristen Rønnevik and Kamilla Skrinde pose in *Along the Coast*. The four artists explore themes of travel, history, and place identity across a selection of harbors in Rogaland: Stavanger, Kvitsøy, Haugesund, and Kopervik. Through various media—such as screen printing, cyanotype, photography, canvas work, and performance—the artists aim to invite reflection across different stages of the project.
